    1. OPP leadership had already stated this previously. They were one of the first in Ontario to declare non-participation.

The Gun buyback program money would be far better spent on law enforcement.

    3. At this point it’d be easier to state who’s still supporting this hot mess.

At this point is the list of participants shorter than the list of abstainers?

Check the map on [whatsyourreceipt.ca/en](http://whatsyourreceipt.ca/en) – almost every province has come out against the buyback now. Only BC, NS and Nunavut are still silent, Quebec’s the only one supporting it. Kinda hilarious that the Liberals finally found a way to unite the provinces… against them lmao

The problem with the current underfunded model is that it opens up the whole legal rathole of expropriation. Maybe the gun lawyers can comment. When the govt takes property they generally have to compensate FMV. Wonder what the current list price value is for the total amount of guns out there now prohibited?

Its almost like the government set this in motion with the intention of the public being more behind it for various reasons that didn’t pan out but its going forward anyways. It doesn’t make any sense and nobody supports it. It reeks of corruption

    8. Thank fuck. I was waiting for them to clearly state that in no dubious terms.

I hope little tiny regional police won’t decide to take the lead on it. I know, I know, federal jurisdiction and all, but you just never know.

Excuse me? Are they choosing to focus on the armed criminals instead of farmer John who owns a rifle and is vetted by the RCMP?

      What madness?! /s

Carney Liberal’s gun buyback poogram united provinces and Canadians more than his trade sector, oh the irony. That’s what happen when you listen to the antigun lobby as fake expert panels.

If Public Safety actually cared about lives, they should ban cigarettes and alcohol too while they’re at it. They claim more lives and take a huge toll on the health system. Might as well ban canoes and cars cause they can be operated by people under the influence. Maybe some non firearm people will see what overstepping from the government feels like for them.

This pretty much seals the deal and collapses the efficacy of the program. Just scrap it.

    13. Liberals complain that the Conservatives wont work with them but when all of Canada wants to work together and sees eye to eye on how ridiculous this policy is they won’t budge on it. Spend millions of taxpayer money to take our firearms and give us nothing in return. Take our money and hand it back as a rebate for a small percentage of the population. Fix nothing spend everything seems to be their motto
