      As a citizen, I don’t recognize ICE as having authority over me.

      Nothing new! ICE has been using administrative warrants all along. Have no force of law whatsoever!

      Mind you, this comes after being told ICE can enter a home with an administrative warrant. Now they feel empowered without one. This even gives them the authority to arrest you simply by how you look because being brown is synonymous to being „illegal“ in their eyes, and enough to justify arresting you.

      I hate what this country has become…

      It is the moral duty of members of the armed forces to refuse to obey illegal orders. It is the moral duty of the citizens of the United States to not obey a lawless government.

Is this the „pain“ part? And once we are all cowed and beat and the fight has gone out of us… is that the price that must be paid?

      A federal judge literally ruled that they can’t enter without warrants just this week after that other memo was leaked. They clearly don’t give a shit anymore

      That’s cool. The 4th Amendment disagrees with that expansion of power, similarly to how if I decided to claim powers.

      Isn’t this kind of dangerous in the sense that it would be really easy to impersonate someone from ICE to essentially break into someone’s home?

      The PEOPLE do not want this. There’s a supposed checks and balance system and it’s clearly not working.

      No this is the exact kind of Psychological Manipulation techique that is so clearly covered in all propaganda studies and the people who work for and publish the NYT know that, they have degrees in this crap.

      ICE cannot „expand“ their ability to do ILLEGAL THINGS the proper headline here is ICE ILLEGALLY VIOLATES THE 4TH AMENDMENT AND OPERATES IN AN OPENLY LAWLESS FASHION.

      No soft creep of normalizing powers that ICE does not have. They cannot EXPAND that power any more than they can catch a Unicorn. But when the NYT keeps PRETENDING and REPORTING on them catching Unicorns, gullible low information people start to believe that that’s real.

      I’m sick of the media presenting this as legitimate. They are complicit in normalizing this. They specifically chose to use the words „expands power“ rather than objectively correct „ignores the law.“ Trump says they can do it, and the NY Times jumps to tell us they already did.
