Water vapor blocks vision and exacerbates the size of other particle – pollution, dust, etc.
Those are just drones to cover up the fact that your city is lethally polluted. Sorry.
Depending on the lighting that you have in the area… if its sodium vapor lamps you can get a rather narrow band filter at the local camera store that will block it.
The didymium filter is used by glassblowers to mask out the sodium in a flame, and by photographers as a „red enhancer“ for fall colors.

The older yellow street lights are 90% of their light at 589.0 and 589.6 nm. The high pressure ones have a lot of other frequencies too, but still with some fairly dominant 589 nm light.
