Supposedly public bodies should have funding pulled when their CEO’s pull this nonsense. If it’s the head of a private business at least there’s an argument there but bodies using public funds have no excuse not to show up.

Alan Kelly just showing why such committees do not have the power to compel. If there is any truth to her being unwell, Kelly grandstanding is just giving her grounds to refuse to attend in future.

If this is on the back of Paul Kimmage’s bull sh1t articles a few weeks back then she’s right not to turn up.
In a rag like the Sunday Independent it’s not surprising but I still expected better from Kimmage.
Rowing Ireland succeeded because it treated their athletes as elite athletes in terms of training & expectations. Snow flakes complaining in Kimmage’s piece should row at their local clubs every Sunday morning and let elite athletes strive for the best.
