      I completely disagree with this sort of nonsense. While I would never condone damaging a country’s flag, it’s an expression of freedom of speech. As long as the flag belongs to the person damaging it, it needs to tolerated. You can’t legislate patriotism.

      Well, that’s one way to drum up more support from the nationalists, I guess?

      It’ll certainly put a stop to the huge numbers of people burning and defacing the flag and making the news on a daily basis…. oh wait. There aren’t any.
