Arbeiter verbrennen immer noch jegliches Plastik, das sie am Strand von Gonio finden. Sie tun es 1 Meter von einem Mülleimer entfernt. Es ist absurd und umweltschädlich. Nicht die Erwähnung, dass es für die Arbeiter besser wäre, 10 Packungen am Tag zu rauchen, als dies zu inhalieren. Diesmal habe ich die Feuer gelöscht und in Kartuli gefragt, ob ich helfen könnte, den gesamten Müll in den Mülleimer zu werfen … indem ich fünf Schritte vom Feuer entfernt gehe. Ich habe diesen Job früher in anderen Ländern gemacht und wäre nie auf die Idee gekommen, Plastik zu verbrennen, obwohl ich weniger als den Mindestlohn verdient habe. Ich habe die meiste Zeit meines Erwachsenenlebens damit verbracht, der Natur zu helfen, sich zu erholen, und es tut mir wirklich sehr weh, so unvorsichtige Dinge zu sehen. Selbst wenn ich nur helfe, spüre ich die Dicke in meiner Lunge. Warum sollten diese Arbeiter sich selbst und Lamazi Sakartvelo das antun?

This shit makes me so angry.
Because they don’t care, law enforcement in nature protection is a joke here and is used only to obtain territory for the oligarchy.
Sadly these is very common in rural Georgia, and it’s one of the contributive factors in environment population as well as general welfare/health of the population. Tons of open trash piles/accumulation areas in rural Georgia, and often near the rivers or even ground water.
We are doomed, people are ignorant. But also it’s important to note that people are not the problem here , 500 million tons of plastic produced each year and they are the problem, and they guilt trap us that plastic damages the world. It’s like asking the governments to help with the fires when in reality they are the ones causing it.
Burning plastic in terms of damage doesn’t even remotely come close to the impact these massive companies and organisations are causing to the this planet.
Plastic production, fossil fuel extraction , military operstions, shipping and aviation, you get the picture.
