Honestly, banning kids under 15 might just save us all from another generation of TikTok politicians.

All EU should follow suit.
Socials are pure, undiluted crap.

Because parents can’t parent, we are now going to get id verification forced through our throats.

Well, it might be healthy for children, but as always you cannot just make a big part of society illegal without having alternatives in place to learn to relax. And maybe a course how to act on social media and what you can post etc. Kids have to learn the basics of using a mobile phone and software, otherwise they will go bananas at 16 without any expectations and go all the way to experience what technology is capable of

Just Ban X and TikTok and the average IQ will rise 10 points for the future generation. It is proven that social media consumption has no benefits and only negative side effects.
Social media has nothing to do with social human interaction. Most of the time you interact with people, AI generated content or bots. You just get played for the only performance metric that is relevant to these platforms, increased screen time and adrevenue.
We regulate alcohol and cigarettes, so we can „social“ media.

> For the ban to become a reality, an effective age verification system will have to be implemented. Work on such a system is currently underway at the European level.
Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. This is dangerous. Data leaks WILL happen and we will be all worse off for it.
