CAF leadership is still saying things like that their relationship with the US is stronger than ever.
CAF is operating under American command today: Caribbe, NORAD, etc.
They desperately need some strong political direction from Carney.
So they can continue to blackmail us for replacement parts for these jets. You can’t trust the United States with any deals. If a deal was signed today, Trump would revoke it to blackmail us for something else tomorrow or next week. Clearly the US can’t be trusted as an ally.
You had me at: „We don’t need anything from Canada“ No need to sweeten the deal.
The fact is the US needs Canada in NORAD for geography alone. If they want to try to defend airspace and construct a „Golden Dome“ without Canadians participating – good luck with that.
