*could*
„National Safety Camera Strategy“ 😂
All the state does is produce strategy documents, frameworks and plans.
Watch this disappear into a 10 year „phased rollout and testing period“.
Sean Canney, Minister for Road Deaths
What about scrotes on scramblers doing wheelies?
Yesterday please
„TRAFFIC CAMERAS DESIGNED to detect motorists speeding, unlawfully driving in bus lanes, and breaking red lights could be rolled out in Dublin by the end of the year, Fine Gael TD Naoise Ó Muirí said today.“
Could. So that’s not happening.
By the end of the year!? It’s still fucking January. Just pull the finger out and do it.
I feel like they keep announcing and then un-announcing this
In fairness, it’s the first time I’ve seen a safety strategy that doesn’t obsess with only speeding.
People cutting into bus lane on n4 joining m50 are a nightmare.
You think the lane is clear then you double check your mirrors and you can’t change lane and it’s a very short merge distance after the bollards.
Are these the same cameras that they announced they wouldn’t be deploying earlier this month? And presumably we’ll see a similar announcement about how they won’t be implemented again this time next year.
I genuinely do not trust any of our tech to be this advanced. I’ll believe it when I see it.
