Very suprised about Vienna. Though the impact would be much higher.
Berlin came a very long way after the reunification though. The gap was much higher and has been decreasing steadily.

This is definitely not beautiful to look at.

Wait germany becomes better if there is no berlin?

The picture is outdated. Since 2019 Berlins per Capita GDP is above the german average.

Not a particularly beautiful screenshot of a chart that also doesn’t actually seem to exist on the website you linked. However, the fact that Berlin is lowering Germany’s per capita GDP with its existence is kinda hilarious, so have an upvote anyway.

Does this take into account the change to the denominator as well, or just the numerator? Cause removing Tallinn is also going to remove a very large share of Estonia’s population

Are pixel counts a recession indicator?

I want to see Greece without Athens.

That doesn’t speak well for Berlin.

Stockholm is such a joke. 20% of the population. 11% of the production.

Is Northern Ireland excluded from this data or is there an error?

Apart from the awful resolution, why show this data this way? If we suddenly “removed” a capital city, the effect wouldn’t be as clean and neat as the city’s GDP simply dropping off from the total GDP of the country.
Why not just show the data as “capital city’s GDP as % of country’s GDP” instead, which I’m sure is what you’re trying to show?
