So Pierre is bad because he doesn’t cooperate. Now he is bad because he pledges cooperation.
I think some people will never be happy no matter what he does, same with the people who bash Carney no matter what he does.
I have a hard time believing that he doesn’t mean „cooperation on his terms only“, but at any rate, he must realize that divisive politics aren’t particularly popular with the public right now, given the effect the US is having on global politics and trade.
He’s shifting to a more constructive tone, give him props for that

I’ll be honestly impressed if contrarian parliamentarian is giving himself a chance to be at the table. Disagreement on issues should be constructive, not reductive and dependant on four year campaign trains.

PP comes around. This is good.
That’s rich. His party has been blocking the budget implementation bill in committee. Perhaps he is pledging to work together now because members of his caucus are considering crossing the floor to do so.
Poilevre pledges to do thing his strategists tell him is the best option at this time after decades of behaving differently. Hopefully he can stumble into being a consecutive politician for the first time in his career
People shit on Pierre for a lot but he’s pretty much always been willing to work with Carney during these trump fiascos
If this is genuine, this is the correct political move, if not moral move.

>Creating Free Trade Bonuses for provinces and territories that open their markets to fellow Canadians, tear down internal barriers and strengthen national economic unity;
>New rules and tax incentives preventing Canada’s inventions, technologies, intellectual property and strategic assets from being sold to foreign state-owned or state-influenced interests
>Cutting taxes on work, investment, homebuilding and energy that will allow us to make more for less and with greater independence.
I hope carney takes him up on at least some of these.
What a load. Every opportunity this guy spews some populist tagline then campaigns with nothing but criticism – no path to correct things in his view. As far as I can tell, he’s offered nothing valuable in his entire political career.
Canada needs to keep rejecting this guy and his American-style divisive politics that led to the situation down South.
