      Wow this was a shocker. Didn’t know the turkish community was this big in Bulgaria..

      The color grading on this map is really bad. 2.4% and 2.5% being different colors as well as 13% and 2.5% being the same color makes no sense.

      And this is after a long and repeated periods of violence, mass immigration and enforced assimilation.

      From a genetic standpoint, the Bulgarian Turks are genetically mostly Bulgarian, just wanted to put that out there. Their Turkish ancestry is from so far back they only average out to around 1/5th actual Turkish.

    6. Are some of these of Gypsy origin?
      Because a lot of Balkan people simply adapted to ottoman culture like Albanians, Bosnians etc.
      I wonder if they are actual ethnic turks.
