Last week again, Trump blamed Ukraine for being the impediment to peace. He’s blamed Ukraine for starting the war at least six times, and for being the obstacle to peace at least four times—and Zelensky thinks the US under Trump will come to Ukraine’s aid?

Zelensky can’t be this naive.

If Trump is willing to dismember one European country, why would he come to the aid of another being dismembered by Russia? Because like Trump said… „countries have to have ownership and you defend ownership, you don’t defend leases.“ The US doesn’t own any NATO member’s country or territory, hence the problem here lies.
