That’s a lot of drones that made it through air defenses. The aftermath videos of this attack will be juicy.

and now its an air-port.

Insurance shipping premiums must be prohibitively expensive in the Black Sea for rusky ships, if they exist at all. I wonder how many shipping companies are now thinking of abandoning the Black Sea altogether. I know of one that has already abandoned the russian Black Sea ports.
P.S. Good work birdie pilots! Make the ruskies howl.

This was so well executed it almost made Budanov smile.

I wonder if it would’ve been a better use of the drones to actually target the vessels themselves?
1) Those ships would be at least partly loaded with petroleum and would burn more violently and prolonged than a transfer pipe – especially after the operators would’ve stopped the flow, as soon as the attack became apparent.
2) A ship-board fire would’ve been hotter and more prolonged, thereby transferring to the docks in relatively short order, destroying them anyway. The crews could perhaps manage to get underway and leave the dock, but it’s not a simple matter for 16-18 crew to do that while your ship is under attack, on fire and crews are already fully engaged in containing the fire.
3) A severely damaged/burnt husk of a ship is not that easy to remove from the dock. It prevents the loading facility from being used in meantime.
4) damaged pipework on a loading platform is replaced fairly easily and quickly. A severely damaged or written-off tanker is much harder to repair/replace and also sends important messages to the ship owners , crews and insurers about the wisdom and profitability of remaining in the ruZZian oil export biz. The owners/operators of the dock itself have no such concerns or questions. They’re in the biz by default, until the facility is (hopefully) completely destroyed

Well it’s great they got through air defence and they are sending a message but you gotta think that after all that effort the exact targets might have been better chosen – striking ?cranes when the ship’s bridge is right there and waiting? Did they not talk about the actual target in advance?
