With Donald Trump’s actions in Greenland, Minneapolis, and Venezuela, a foreign enemy could not invent a better chain of events to wreck the standing of the United States.
Balkanize already. Get this shit over with man. Will be better for everybody in the long run.

Here in Canada, until recently, a lot of people held out hope that America’s “better angels” would prevail, and the “real” America would return, but that hope mostly gone now. The mourning period that idea of America is over. The world will go on.

As an American, I’m emotionally mixed about this. I live here, so there’s that, but I also realize the great amount of damage we’ve done in the world, not only by our politics but by our wasteful lifestyle. The conversation I’ve been having with friends (who often disagree with me) is whether the vacuum that the US is creating will be filled with something better or something worse. We’ve been having this discussion since 2016.
I personally see great potential for both us and the world, but probably not immediately. If this is the beginning of a world collapse, I’ve been arguing that a reset is necessary, both regarding income distribution and ecology. Granted, a lot of people are going to get hurt but potentially more in the developed world where we mindlessly benefit from the things that are creating those two specific problems, which we caused. So there’s justice there that can’t be ignored.
In this context I’m taking seriously the predictions of Stephan A Schwartz‘ 2050 remote viewing project, which I think everyone should take a look at. I understand that most people on this forum will reject him and his methodology. Please stick around long enough to consider his context, particularly his previous predictions, and his methodology.

It’s crazy how the US has so thoroughly demonstrated its insanity that any future president will have to prove that they’re *not* like Trump if they want to get anything done internationally

Realistically, the US is not in the same position as Russia. The US is very strong.
The free world alliance is, seemingly, dead. Divided west incoming.

Russification of America. Putin politics. Autocracy. And America picked this wannabe Nazi over a black woman. As an American, we deserve what’s happening.

I think its not quite that simple, the US has a lot of runway to immolate itself (see also Iraq War)
The US economy won’t be going away, and people will want to trade with it
Trump is not forever. Arguably a lot has to do with Trumps *personal style*, even a far-right Vance presidency will at least be *predictable* and a reliable negotiating partner (as in not reneging last minute)
And EU being stronger and self sufficient may ultimately be the best outcome of all this.
