For Trump & Co strong Europe speaking with one voice defending its own rights is a threat.
Much easier to have small little European countries bickering with each other and jumping to each other’s throats. Ideal to push around and bully when needed.

I’m actually surprised after reading quotes from Davos. This morning all text messages leaked by Trump made me think everyone will try to appease him to stop Greenland threats, but absolutely everyone even Von Der Leyen speach sounded like absolute rebuke to Trump

Reading news makes me insanely angry these days and „ohhh fuck off“ is basically my only response to all the articles on the American administration attacking us right now; what else there is to say? But to escape all that today I’ve just bought a baguette, French cheese and a lovely merlot from Pays d’Oc (the country of yes!!! :D); I’ll be reading Liebling’s book on Parisian cuisine too haha. I appreciate Macron’s stance as much as his glasses 😀 Fuck Europe’s enemies and bonne journée à vous guys.

All flowery words that mean nothing when you consider that France pushed for the overthrow of Libya for its own interests. So much for rule of law, respect and the UN.
Even more ridiculous to call tariffs unacceptable. Insane that he considers free access to the US market a right while calling to regulate US businesses out of the europeans market lol.
As usual, the French and Macron like to paint themselves atop a pedestal while trying to play the same game they denounce!

I mean, it’s already subordinate. He’s trying to subordinate it even more. I guess there’s only so far you can bend over before your anatomy prevents it.
Let’s see what countries the sun will rise on this century
Edit: lmao, I just saw Macrons leaked texts to Trump. This statement is damage control to those messages. The hubris of Europe are still talking about what they can do in Syria and Iran in those messages.

Considering the mountainous threats of the ever-hungry Bear and the villainous front-stabbing Bald Eagle. Is it time to officially change the name from Europa to Ares? (With new military based leadership, not operators and admin people like Ursula and Kaja Kallas who have catastrophically failed. Macron is alright but if he can’t even stand up to his elderly wife who openly physically abuses him, then we are so done. Don’t even talk to me about Keir Starmer, I couldn’t find a more wet flannel if I tried).

No one can „subordinate Europe“ except Europe. National power isn’t determined by what mean or kind things people at davos say to each other.
Power and primacy comes from economic and military strength. Europe chose to fund unsustainable social welfare states on the premise that the Americans would never second guess the transatlantic „alliance“ despite a rising china. It also declared itself a „regulatory superpower“ with no Googles, apples, metas, or Microsofts of its own to regulate.
So here we are. The bill has come due. The continent that taught me about real politik and cold blooded balance of power politics now says how „outraged“ and „betrayed“ it „feels“. This is surreal and naive.
Europe subordinated itself.
