1973 raubte ein Mann eine Bank in Kenora, Ontario, mit einer selbstgebauten Bombe aus, als er von einem Scharfschützen der Polizei erschossen und die Bombe gezündet wurde. Der Mann wurde nie identifiziert und wird von den Einheimischen üblicherweise als Oliver Town bezeichnet (da seine Überreste überall in der Stadt gefunden wurden).

Kind of a DB Cooper story…….never found out who he was……I lived a few hours from Kenora and remember my parents talking about this when I was a kid.
A local brewery (there is only one there) made a NEIPA called ‚Dead Man’s Switch‘ after this incident.
