      BTW the reason that screenshot looks so ancient is because monitors were a lot worse back then so you didn’t really notice

      Google Maps was in beta for two years. At the time, it seemed like an eternity. Everyone wondered why it was still in beta when it worked so well. The map quality was not as good as others, but the features were better.

      TIL there’s only north America(and somehow UK) exist in 2005, Can’t believe we build the rest of the world in just 20 years.
