Lmk. Ich sage das, weil viele Georgier die Herkunft des abchasischen Volkes und Abchasiens nicht kennen ✌️🇬🇪

Apsuas refer to the region as Abkhazeti, while Georgians call it Apkhazeti.
The consonant combination ფხ (fkh/px) exists only in the Georgian language and does not occur in the Apsua language. You will not find any Apsua word containing this sound cluster. This linguistic fact indicates that the name itself is of Georgian origin. But execpt of afkhazeti we also have a Pkhovi (fkhovi) fkha and other similar words.
Apkhazeti was the historical name of western Georgia for centuries, long before the unification of the eastern and western Georgian kingdoms. (Bagrat III) did it.
Rulers of the Afkhazia were Georgian royal family Shervashidze s .
Toponimics of this region is Georgian (rivers, villages, towns and e.t.c)
A lot of medieval sources says that its a part of Georgia, or is indipendet Georgian kingdom.
A lot of medieval Georguan churches and monasteries are still there.
Language is a universal historian. Language cant lie thats for sure. So if you study Georgian linguistics and toponimics too you will find out that there was never been a Apsuas kingdom or indipendet region of that people in modern territory of Georgia.
In the 17th century, Apsuas began migrating into the Kingdom of Apkhazia and gradually settled there. However, even by the late 20th century, ethnic Georgians—primarily Megrelians—still constituted the majority of the population in the region.
In 1992, with direct support from Russia, Apsua forces carried out ethnic cleansing, resulting in the expulsion of the Georgian majority from their homes. Thus, a demographic minority forcibly displaced the historical majority.
And i dont have scientific explanation about Flags. Im convinced that when the so-called “Abkhazia project” was being developed in the Soviet Union, the history of the Apsuas and Apkhazia was carefully studied, and this flag was deliberately created to make it easier to confuse people about historical facts. I do not believe this is a coincidence. I think it was a KGB operation.
You posted that in abkhazia sub too? Expect ban soon lol
What is coincidence? What are you trying to say exactly? Can you reframe the question in one concrete and solid form please?
So, what’s the question?
Abkhazia is the name of a region, if we’re precise, there exists no ethnic group Abkhazians. Ethnically, there are Apsuas and Megrelians, but also, at this point, if we believe genetic studies, most Apsuas are pretty much Megrelians, as a product of them being a very small minority, already being distantly related to Megrelians, and mixing with Megrelians for thousands of years. But they did maintain their language.
It’s similar to Palestine. The name Palestine is the name of a region, and it covered far bigger territory than today’s Israel. It being a name of an ethnic group is the product of the 20th century and general politics. Before nationalism came into play, people whom we call Palestinians were just Arabs who came to the region thousand years after Palestine was used as a name of the region.
The same goes for Abkhazia and „Abkhazians“. The Kingdom of Abkhazia was completely Georgian, every piece of evidence that exists points to that. Nobody knows what flag was used for the Kingdom of Abkhazia. If you see any flags, know that it’s just reverse reconstruction, but the modern flag of Abkhazia comes from symbols found on maps from the 1300s to 1600s, and symbols are related to the Megrelian Dadiani noble family, including the raised hand on a red background, which Abazins and Apsua made into their own symbol.
Abkhaz = Georgian
Apsua = a representative of a Russian tribe that stole the word Abkhaz
This is not a very complex question if you look at all historic facts and Georgian cultural heritage in Abkhazia. Also, in the medieval times, Abkhazia was a synonym for Georgia (whole country, not only that small region)
Apsua are people from North-West Caucasus, along with abazgians, abazins, circassians etc.
they migrated from the North to Apkhazeti.
Apkhazians on the other hand are georgians who lived in Abkhazia (Apkhazeti) region.
In Georgia people are named after the region they come from: Svaneti – svan, Samegrelo – megrelian, Kakheti – kakhetian etc.
