It’s called “Bang Kra Chao or the Green Lungs of Bangkok”… I used to bike around there with friends on the weekends… there are hardly any cars around as most people access it via ferries and rent bikes. It’s gorgeous.
Only indirectly related to this but there is a very similar river penisula reserve area in Ho Chi Minh City too, called Binh Quoi https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bình_Quới_Tourist_Village
