Moldova was split off from Romania by the Soviet Union, but they are the same people.

Still, it is up to the people of Moldova and Romania to decide.

    2. Nowhere. Pretty much all polls we have shows slight to strong opposition to this in Moldova and newest polls we have from Romania shows similar trend there.

Although… AUR: Romanian right populist party that is leading polls and got close to wining last presidential elections due to its nationalist worldview actually is strong supporter of that so there’s that I guess.

    3. Jesus christ, she was asked a question „what would you vote for if there was a referendum on unification“ and she said she would vote for unification, but then said that she is in the minority and that joining the EU is a more realistic proposition.

Thats it. This does not change anything because she is not planning to join Romania

Should never have been divided in the first place, and should have been reunited back in the 90s. But EU is more likely.

    5. I think the EU should experiment with more „internal integrations“ in preparation for an eventual federal EU which I think is a long ways off. It would reduce the regulator overhead, the problems with the veto, allow more military and economic coordination. I’ll probably ruffle feathers with these suggestions but Moldova + Romania makes sense, Netherlands + Germany is already integrating military forces, also integration of the Nordic and Baltics either together or separately.
