    1. Six years is a disgrace. I wonder how much harm that Nolan cunt has done to this country with his leniency.

6 years for an unprovoked killing of an innocent person. Manslaughter or not that’s a joke and the fact he was smiling and winking in court is disgusting

    3. On the run for six months after the attack

      Didn’t plead guilty until late

      24 previous convictions

Winked when he got his handy sentence

When he kills or at the very least traumatises someone else in a few years time (after getting out early no doubt) will Nolan be held accountable? Maybe if he could be sued by future victims he might take public safety seriously

    4. This is an absolute disgrace. That man should at least get 10 years.

Why is Nolan ALWAYS caught up in drama?

    5. Saw the sentence and immediately knew it was Nolan. He needs to lose his job and all his sentences need to reevaluated. Ridiculous to only get 6 years for a violent attack that killed someone.

Scum. This is precisely the kind of person we want off the streets for a long time. 6 years means probably out in 4… for killing an innocent man in front of his girlfriend while they are standing there minding their own business. Sickening. We need to at least double the sentences for violent or sexual crimes. Especially when the offender has previous convictions.

      > A motorcyclist went by but came back, got off the motorbike still wearing his helmet and for no apparent reason and without any provocation, punched Martin Lynn in the face.

Should rot in jail for life for this. But no, Judge Nolan to the rescue.

      > It took some months and a number of appeals before Christopher O’Neill was identified.

      > He was arrested in December 2023 but made no admissions and entered his plea of guilty to manslaughter at a late stage. He has 24 previous convictions.

I remember the search & appeals, didn’t know that someone was finally identified & charged. Delighted he was caught.

Six years still doesn’t feel like it’s a significant amount in comparison to what he did.

Another one of these lads who should be in prison for life unless they can convince a panel of people unanimously that they no longer pose a danger to the public.

Hopefully the DPP for once will look into the case and after winking and smiling as noted in the article increase the sentence drastically. Thats absolutely abhorrent.

Ive been successfully rage baited by Judge Nolan. Just read the article and saw someone shared that the same person ran over a man 13 years ago.. Jesus christ how could they only give him 6 years

    12. At this point I highly suspect Nolan has been compromised.

Maybe I’m just watching too many crime shows?

    13. There’s too many men in this country who are being unreasonably killed. I wish other men would stand up against this

    14. Could we not just put him away for life. He’s no use to society and doesn’t deserve to live amongst the rest of us.
If this was Judge Nolans own son what would he give him?

This story at the time was sold as a fella got out of a taxi and a motorcyclist was nearly hit by a door or some bollox. It now looks like none of that happened and this was a completely unprovoked attack. What an utter scumbag winking to someone after being found guilty of Manslaughter. If there is any justice this fella will meet a bad end.

      RIP to the victim.

„She also said he had been before Judge Nolan for previous offences in 2012 and had been given a lenient sentence then but had gone on to commit further crimes including taking her brother’s life“

Im more annoyed with Nolan at this stage – He is a danger to Irish society

An utterly disgraceful sentence. The ‚judge‘ is on another planet.
