    1. Oh well that’s settled then

Unless 86% of Americans are about to say ‘fuck this asshole’, march on the streets and refuse to contribute economically beyond buying food until Trump fucks off then it’s irrelevant what they think, we’re well past the regime giving a shit about public opinion. It’s power and who can project it time.

    2. You’d think that’d signal to our elected officials in congress they need to finally step up and do their job and check the powers of the executive branch and stop this rapid descent into oppressive authoritarianism.

Dane, halfway into january 2026: My country has now become an integral party to the possible dissolution of NATO, US Civil War and kickstarting of WW3 :-/ . Bruh…

Trump doesn’t care. This is his ultimate vanity project. He will rename Greenland: TrumpLand.

How quickly does that 14% grow once Trump actually puts boots on the ground in Greenland?

    6. 9% are in favor. They just heard the idea and started shooting guns in the air and going, „WOOOO!!“

Yuropoor here. It’s pretty obvious that they’re gonna try it anyway. My question is how. While the US has the strongest air force in the world and the ability to land thousands of troops anywhere… Are you really gonna try that under Arctic winter conditions? You don’t have enough icebreakers to try to land them by sea. US troops go to northern Europe to train for a reason. Long range missiles on the few pieces of infrastructure that exist? Then what?

All for Trumps ”psychological” desire to rule Greenland…

They think it’s about getting Greenland’s rare earth deposits. Greenland ice could raise ocean levels 27 feet. One foot by 2100. Not counting what Antarctic ice could do by 2100. Fossil fuels are drowning us.And financing Trump.

So what are you guys gonna do aside from answering polls? For Renee Good? For your health care? Education? Climate change?

Trump only wants Greenland for his legacy. There are no other solid arguments.

The US can send as much military to Greenland as they wish. Denmark wont be in the way.

The US can probably ask and get rights for finding rare earths things.

What else do we need Greenland for?

This feels so ominous. It truly makes me wonder if Trump is actually compromised. I already had my suspicions but this doesn’t make sense, even for Trump. If Trump does this, it will end him. Sure the extreme diehards won’t care but this poll is pretty damning. Even Fox hosted the Danish foreign minister and allowed him to speak frankly without sanewashing. There’s no way this doesn’t create fracturing among US military leadership. There’s no way every GOP rep and senator go along with this. NATO won’t survive this. The EU will respond and I can’t even imagine how it escalates from there

It honest to God feels like Trump is compromised and either being manipulated, coerced, or bribed into pushing this. I despise the man but the fact that there is absolutely zero justification for this makes it so much more eerie. It feels like some faction is pressuring Trump into this, probably very aware that Trump will be their fall guy and likely more than okay with that. He’s going for it because he’s a gullible egomaniacal narcissist prone to flattery and praise

Man I hate how conspiratorial I sound but this honestly doesn’t add up. There’s no way he can pull this off without being politically destroyed by it. None of this makes sense

Ffs Danish men died in Iraq supporting us. This is psychotic

Stop blaming undefinable terms like “Congress”. As you ultimately are both sidesing everything that’s going on with that language.

The problem is *Republicans*. At all levels of government. *Republicans* in Texas kicked off the mid-cycle gerrymandering. *republicans* in Florida built Alligator Alcatraz and invited the federal government to house prisoners there.

*Republicans*, in control of the Congress, the Presidency, and the Supreme Court refuse to hold Trump accountable.

*Republicans* created ICE, No Child Left Behind, and other shit that established what powers Trump is abusing under a *Republican* President (George W Bush).

    13. I’m from Danish descent on my mother’s side. Ancestors came over on the boat in the late 1800’s. I would be happy to take a boat back in order to support your cause. I feel like Denmark has a better chance of taking this tyrant down than anyone living in America.

    14. MechanicEcstatic5356 on

The real story is 14 percent support it. Thats 38 million adults in the USA who agree with that disgraceful couch-humping worm of a vice president that a peaceful sovereign territory should be invaded for no good reason at all.

Two Greenlandic biathletes competing for Denmark criticized Donald Trump in an interview with the Danish outlet *Ekstra Bladet*, calling him “a complete idiot” and saying he has no understanding of Greenlandic society or culture. I want treason charges against all 3 branches of government. They have colluded to sell out our country instead of performing their duty to its people.

    17. A significant portion of us also advocate for single-payer healthcare, and we want corporate money out of our elections. Unfortunately, the majority’s desires don’t seem to matter.

    18. werejustnervouskids on

Hmmm, somehow think that poll isn’t going to prevent the American Fascists from doing what they want.

    19. Too bad they elected a mad man into their highest office, who doesn’t care what they think.

    20. BeginningLow on

Yeah, there used to be something like a 90% disapproval rating of Russia’s war in Ukraine too, until Republicans decided it was expensive or unpatriotic. They’ll find a way to rally their troops to believe in invasion.

    21. 86%? Am I dreaming? I didn’t think such a large percentage of Americans would oppose something this bad.

    22. Seems moron in chief and congress doesn’t care, however a vast majority of military personnel seem to. If they deemed it necessary they can refuse this idiotic situation

    23. Remarkable_Sea_1430 on

Getting 86% of Americans to agree the sky is blue would be an insane accomplishment. This is pretty damning. Shame it won’t change a fucking thing.
