Children are afraid here too, for far different reasons, but fear is fear.

      >Q: The premier of Greenland said today, ‚We prefer to stay with Denmark.‘

      >TRUMP: Who said that?

      >Q: The premier of Greenland

      >TRUMP: Well, that’s their problem. I disagree with him. I don’t know who he is. Don’t know anything about him. But that’s gonna be a big problem for him.

    3. It’s really unfair to put a cloud of anxiety over a people that want nothing to do with you

US really working hard to take that #1 most hated country spot. Can’t stand being #2 I guess

    5. I’d be worried too if my home felt like it could be taken away. Kids shouldn’t have to live with that kind of fear.

This is what bugs me about this convo. Everyone jokes about buying Greenland or whatever, but there are actual families and kids there hearing this stuff. It’s not funny when you’re the one who might lose your home or culture. I’d be scared too tbh.

Trump is a dipshit individual. He is one of the most disgraceful living organisms nature has ever created. I don’t know what kind of world we could live in right now if he was the president of China, Russia, or North Korea

Well yeah, the US federal government is now a terroristic fascist regime.

    9. I work in schools. Every day, I look kids in the face who are terrified ICE will burst into their school or house and take them away. Or that they’ll go home and find out their family has been taken.

Fuck Trump and anyone who supports, enables, or tolerates him.

    10. 1) NATO dissolves and the EU dumps $2 trillion in US securities. Stops all trade. Our economy tanks. 2) Our military is strong because we have bases in allied countries all over the planet. Those are shut down immediately. Do we really think this has anything to do with national security? It’s the fever dream of a malignant narcissist/megalomaniac with delusions of grandeur, his stupid cult and enablers who are just as ignorant. This is national suicide.

They know our military won’t say no and stand up against illegal operations. So, yes, they have every right to be shaking in their boots, and it ain’t cause it’s freezing cold

Just tell the children that the orange monster is not real. He is actually just a 💩

They should be because Trump is serious. Canadians have been feeling this for a while now

Canada started pulling away a year ago because we knew a fundamental truth American’s are FINALLY starting to understand:

He’s not joking, and he absolutely means to annex both Greenland and Canada. As well as Mexico and South America. He’s already invaded Venezuela and bought Argentina.

He absolutely means to start WW3 as well as the 2nd Civil War. 100%

    15. They ought to be. The world needs to reign in the US because we are basically Christian isis.

Americans are finally hearing from westerners what the rest of the world has said about them for decades.

Not to diminish the current batshit crazy escalation which is absolutely unprecedented for our times. But I’m certain children all over the world have rightly feared the same from the US for years.

    17. natalietheanimage on

Jesus, don’t announce that publicly – the thought of children being afraid of him is probably the only thing that can make Trump climax anymore.

    18. Turtledonuts on

Man, I’m an adult in the US and i’m afraid. I dont want any of this and there doesnt seem to be a way to stop it. I cant think of any legal option that would work and everything outside of the law would be either inconsequential, ineffective, or lead to significant reprisals. Protests wont change any politician’s mind, boycotts and strikes won’t impact the military or white house, the courts dont have the resources to stop him, and congress won’t do anything.

There’s enough die hard republican voters that the gop representatives and senators wont face any consequences for inaction and will face consequences for taking action. The democrats don’t have the numbers and can’t get the numbers until next january at the minimum. We can’t recall democratic congresspeople without strengthening the republicans, and we can’t recall republicans because their voters are happy.

We can’t change the republican voters’ minds because they’re too stubborn and misinformed. The democrat voters are too split to form a stronger coalition, and even if they do, they dont have the numbers in red states. The non-voting majority is too burned out, uninterested, and mistrusting of politics to get involved. If they do, they won’t believe how dire things are until it’s too late.

      I just don’t see a way out.
