I was born in the early 90s and I remember when I was very small a lot of the very old ladies had those headscarves. But by the time I was six or seven, they weren’t a thing anymore. Don’t know if most of those women had died or if it just became too unfashionable.
Fletch’s wife Grainne was Irish but I don’t think it’s her in the picture.
