I mean. Our gut biome and stomach in general is a very complex second brain and runs a lot of choices from what I understand. We feed the bacteria and flora in our stomach and they crave the sugars sweets etc. personally I think there’s a higher likelihood of weird bacteria and illness making us sick from the giant ice shelf falling off than us having last of us cordyceps style mushrooms controlling us from within.
I think the same thing only I concluded the opposite. The right parasites are allies not enemies, technically a cat worm, Toxaplasmosis is a predatory amoeba that can eat bacteria. If I could make bets on that study outcome I would say it lessens the chance of sepsis.

I know I’ve had a persistent cough for several years now though. I’m one of those lucky ones with the long covid though.
People put so much effort into the dumbest shit. Look at chess completion videos from any era. When it’s quiet you’ll notice just how many people are always coughing.
I was sick for 55 days straight! Antibiotics did nothing and the cough was relentless. Thick green mucous clinging to my throat and sinuses. Finally after 4 asthma like attacks in 2 hours went to the ER. Had every test run. No Covid, no pneumonia, no flu, no RSV, no sinus infection. Bloodwork clear? Had breathing treatments in the hospital and went home with a nebulizer. Took treatments 2-4 x’s per day for the next two weeks. Cough slowly went away but I am still bringing up that green shit! People wear a mask! This shit is really vile!
I was sick from November 16th thru Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. By the way, the ER wouldn’t give me a diagnosis? Weird. Whatever this is it is way worse than covid or anything I have ever had. Wear a mask plz

I just read a few weeks ago that there’s a very resistant fungal infection of some kind spreading around the US. From overseas, they think, and is mostly in southern states currently. Mississippi, Alabama I know were affected, can’t remember the others currently.
Not saying it’s related, but not saying it’s not. Just food for thought.
