      > Conservative shadow home secretary Chris Philp said „illegal working is booming because Labour have turned Britain into a soft touch“.

Hilarious that. The numbers are up in massive terms because nothing was done about this with the Tories in charge. They’ve increased arrests by 80% odd with a mere 5m in extra funding allocated towards the service.

Should be expanded and actually publicised a bit better by labour.

Christ, the Home Office looks and acts (like actually looks, not metaphorically) so much more professional than all the ICE stuff we’ve seen recently

Black uniformed, unbranded, simple and clean raids look so much more professional

Pray it stays that way if Reform does actually win in 2029

How much is everyone willing to bet some of the far-righters STILL won’t be satisfied with this, alongside the overall reduction in net migration?

Are they arresting the employers too or just those without the right to work?

Hiring illegal workers is a bigger problem than the workers themselves in my book.

The argument that citizens wouldn’t do the same jobs is a dishonest argument when they’re competing with undocumented people that in many situations sleep in illegal housing, 4 to a room, and in no way reflect the average person.
