      Europe should move troops into there ASAP. They can publicly say they’re doing it to support Trump too.. „Oh Trump was saying how important it is to defend Greenland from Russia and China so this is why we decided to do it…“

      There would be NATO troops in Greenland. Nuance is in from which part of NATO they would come.

      Yes, 100%.

      But their recent statement, where they say they don’t want to be American ***or Danish***, is kind of stupid. Nations that want to annex them aren’t going to hear anything but the „or Danish“ part. Denmark has more military personnel than Greenland has people, and it’s part of NATO.

      The independence part comes at the price of an active, credible military. Greenland does not have that, its outsourced that to Denmark. An independent Greenland that wouldn’t have an army *yet* would enjoy protection from NATO is impossible.

      I’ll fight for Greenland, as an American. I will not fight against Greenland, as an American. They, in no way shape or form, have ever been a problem.

      If this was ACTUALLY about defense, the US would be fine with either allowing a larger presence on the island or yeah, making it so the entire alliance needs to maintain a force there.

      Well obviously, I’m Canadian I would 100% back a NATO action against the Nazi states of America, if it meant standing up to facism and defending our allies.

      Slightly offtopic, if Greenland declare independence from Denmark which they are legally allowed to do, are they still in NATO? Greenland is in NATO only because of Denmark right?

      If this ever happens… Canada and EU should immediately stop ALL trade with The USA. All flights to and from The USA should also be banned. We would need to isolate the USA.

      And we have multiple European countries saying that a US invasion of Greenland would mean the end of NATO. Which means there’s a handful of nations that have zero interest in protecting it.

      On the other hand, if there was an invasion and European nations stepped in. What would that means for the tens of thousands of US troops all across Europe? Would we all just start attacking each other? Crazy times

      this is where the rubber meets the road. People maintain their governments and pay their taxes and being safe is the top of the list. In Russia they broke this promise and stole all the money they spent to protect them. In the US this is also beginning to happen right now. how about Europe?

      The difference between Europe and the US is umm Europe is filled with other countries with their own national armies. The US has one for 50ish states. Yikes.
