      My firefighter academy was almost 9 months long, curious what other first responders/LE academies are in comparison to 47 days.

      Is there anything our government won’t rebrand under Trump to continually treat him like Bubba? 47 day ICE training, the F47, the „Trump-class“ battleship, the Kennedy center, etc. It still stuns me that people don’t see how this is exactly the same as every other dictator.

      It’s also oddly ironic since all of these programs are failing/destined to fail, so the name is appropriate.

      You know, it kind of makes sense. Given that the draft-dodging coward believes that physical exertion reduces your lifespan, having these guys go through proper training is surely akin to slowly killing them. We can’t have that. This is a nation of respect for its law enforcement officers, after all. In much the same way, thinking a little bit harder about the subject is probably contributing to killing your brain cells faster.

      Maybe that’s what „conservative“ really means. Don’t think so your brain doesn’t melt.

      A friend of mine who works for our local city police spent 9 months training at the academy and 3 riding with a mentor.

      ICE is a joke.

      47 days because of President 47? If that is true, that is so fucking pathetically bootlicking, it’s just kinda sad. I know the WHY of their obsession with him, but I just can’t figure out how it mentally works.

      It’s funny how easily people are manipulated into acting on emotion so they don’t act in their own best interests. Do you really want the government to have the power to end your life so easily??? When an agent can simply take a step to the left to avoid incidental non life threatening contact with a car attempting to drive away, do you really want your government to have the power to take that step to the left and also shoot you in the face? Do you want the government to have the power to shoot you in the face before your car travels 2 feet forward?? This power doesn’t stop with the administration or government agency you support… Keep that same energy when they come for your guns!!! Remember you want them to have that power to end you and your loved ones!

      If we aren’t in a „break the glass in case of emergency“ moment in terms of our constitution. I honestly don’t know what that moment is or looks like. This is so far beyond Nixon territory

      In the Army we had very specific training for running convoys through an urban civillian population. ONLY a specific group of people in the convoy( the QRF Quick Reaction Force) were to respond if the convoy came under atteck. Even under fire we did not leave our vehicles until word was communicated through the chain of command, per the operational brief we had before each mission. It was expected for civilians to „lock up“ in fear in traffic when they found themselves surrounded by soldiers with weapons.

      ICE is nothing but military cosplay for those who wouldn’t join, or left, the military because they refused to take orders from a woman, a black or queer person, or anyone who wasn’t „an alpha male.“

      Police get 6 months and that’s low compared to other countries. They do not belong in our cities if they aren’t adequately trained.

      This is bad, but the lack of training is not the problem. Jonathan Ross was an army veteran and had been in ICE for years, but he murdered a woman in cold blood just because she pissed him off and he knew he would most likely not be held to account. ICE is now a white supremacist paramilitary group and it’s entire mission is to terrorize blue cities and immigrants. It attracts the worst people in society, so it’s a a cop out (no pun intended) to imply that any amount of law enforcement training could fix it.

      If sanity ever returns to the US this entire organization will need to be torn down, disarmed, and disbanded, and we just have to hope they will allow this to happen peacefully.

      Day 48 of training was teaching the rule change in 2014 that it is no longer permissible to jump in front of a car to justify shooting someone because a 2013 investigation found too many people were killed by agents purposely putting themselves in „danger“

      Just want to point out: Johnathan Ross has been an ICE agents for years. His behavior was not due to low hiring standards or poor training, it is due to poor leadership and lack of accountability within ICE and DHS. We need to address that issue because it is core.

      Its OK to insist on better qualifications and training, but they don’t matter when leadership lacks.

If this isnt proof that the entire leadership from trump on down along with the clown Noem and couch fucker vance are willfully neglecting their duty, i dont know whst is. Everything they do is to get likes and approvals on social media by their dumb supporters.

      These people cannot be blasted with words. They need to be served with justice. Every single one of them.

      Are they even required to take and pass a civil service exam?

      Wouldn’t be surprised to find out they aren’t strictly and regularly drug tested. They definitely should be.
