Only a 1 year ban for this? Dude shouldn’t be allowed to own guns for the rest of his life.
While the fine seems pretty inadequate, regardless, why does he only get a 1 year ban? Isn’t this every gun enthusiasts biggest fear when it comes to bad publicity? Legal guns being stolen by irresponsible owners and being used in shootings?
Are responsible gun folk ok with this, as it’s the exact scenario that further jeopardizes the issue? Genuinely asking if there’s anyone that can weigh in, I see the buyback constantly mentioned here.
Not to put too fine a point on it, but whenever I see a suspiciously low sentence for someone involved and organized crime I assume a deal has been struck, trading time for information.
