Honestly with everything going on right now I only see that number going down, even with American involvement in the campaign.

Headline is deceiving since the article clearly states “***less than***” 1 in 5 (19%) would vote to separate from Canada. 75% would vote to stay and 11% are unsure.

So the numbers are getting worse for the trumpers? It was closer to 23% last time than 20 wasn’t it ?
Saying 1 in 5 just makes it sound more dire. But these numbers aren’t a news article worth of difference from the last poll.

This polling must be absolute cancer at UCP headquarters.
I guarantee every single ANDP voter or swing voter available to them are united in that 49% strongly oppose bloc, and that more than they need for a majority. I can’t imagine the separation curious NDP voter.
Meanwhile, Smith has all the problems of having the full spectrum of opinion in her base, that anything she says or does is going to piss someone off. 17% strongly support is too big to ignore, or win without. If they leave to start their own Alberta independence party, you’re done.
