Are these the same Democratic strategists that lost 2 of 3 to Trump?

    2. Born-Metal-2180 on

Considering the shit Trump has done so far, promising to impeach him should probably be one of the main promises of the Dems. Americans with a brain would vote for them in an instant.

    3. Which means the dumb fucks Schumer and Jeffries will clearly avoid impeachment. So sick of these spineless jellyfish.

    4. I like how everyone still thinks these elections are going to change anything. When the courts and laws are all rigged and now completely corrupt… US is over as we know it .

    5. Notifiedbot on

Unfortunately, it will require Republicans to grow some balls and go against their dictator, which doesn’t seem likely considering Trump is breaking international law and celebrating the death of Americans with no Republican pushback

    6. Why they don’t try to impeach him now? Even if they wouldn’t get far right now. The gesture and seeing who opposes it would be enlightening.

Not that there wasn’t a fair reason to impeach at least once a week for the past year.

    7. fence_sitter on

      Worry about getting elected.

He’ll provide new impeachable offenses after the midterms.

Now is the wrong time to encourage GOP turnout.

    8. It won’t succeed, so it will be purely symbolic, and symbolism is important. But even more important is genuine resistance, especially when confronted with tyranny and the destruction of human rights and human life. And there doesn’t seem to be a single democrat interested in actually stopping the trump regime. Certainly not a single one has the courage necessary to do what it takes.

    9. Impeachment , removal and new Nuremberg trials for the entire administration, anything less is unacceptable. Then actually have a progressive platform that will improve the lives of the working and middle class.

    10. addctd2badideas on

Who the fuck cares what the polls say? Show some leadership and backbone and people will be convinced… Of course, impeachment is moot either way until after the midterms and afterwards, we get Couch Boy. Still better than this absurdity.

    11. seasonsbloom on

Democrat strategists and insiders got us trump. Twice. They still think “things are normal”. Slow rolled prosecutions when Biden was president. Let him run again when he was clearly fading. Their advice is garbage. We need representation that is actually going to fight.

    12. Judy-Cooper on

Except they will ignore because consultants are telling them to not bring it up. I’m so sick of this shit.

    13. Gradstudentiquette69 on

But that would be a strong position and could make some Republicans feel bad, so the democrats won’t do it

    14. lol. Impeach? I’m only supporting those who promise to put these traitors where they belong, either in prison or in front of a squad.

    15. Doesn’t matter if it doesn’t go thru in the senate, we just want them to do something, anything , to show they are fighting back .

    16. nasorrty346tfrgser on

They shouldn’t avoid it, but also shouldn’t make it into the main selling point.

We are tired of „no trump“, we want more than that. We want a new direction. No Trump just meant keep everything Trump done in place, but we want a further shift to the left.

    17. DrBunsonHoneyPoo on

If any official that has this power isn’t supporting this. They need to just step down and let someone else run.

    18. BrotherMain9119 on

“This guys an aging, tyrannical, dick and ought not be in charge of his own dinner let alone a country”

Put it on MAGAts to explain why it’s acceptable for a president to try and unilaterally disenfranchise millions of Americans when he couldn’t handle losing. Stop pretending Jan 6 wasn’t the treasonous ploy it was, I don’t like having to teach my students that America didn’t care when their president tried to steal an election.

    19. How about fuck the polling, get out there and make it an issue people care about.

    20. Sounds like the same people who think Trump has a 66% approval rating impeach the dickhead

    21. TheGOPisTheDeepState on

Impeach, convict, lockup, and seize assets from selling our country to the highest bidder.

    22. SurroundTiny on

Truthout with head firmly embedded in ass as usual. Do they not want to actually have a Dem majority in the House?

    23. SparkleSluttie on

Impeaching Trump could be a Dems‘ winning promise and I’ll be there

    24. BringOutYDead on

Fire breathing should be a major part of their ticket. Reform ticket.

    25. Oceanbreeze871 on

Even if the senate doesnt remove, a third impeachment will be on his record and history can at least see that some of us were trying to do something to hold him accountable

    26. 0pttphr_pr1me on

What the fuck is wrong with Schumer and Jeffries

Assholes keep saying they’re focused on making the lives of their constituents better? So show the fuck up and listen you soulless ghouls

    27. _Fun_Employed_ on

They should be pushing it now too. Honestly, impeaching Noem wouldn’t do anything because he’d just replace her with somebody as bad if not worse.

    28. Impeachment is the bare fucking minimum. I actually wouldn’t vote for a candidate who was *only* talking about impeaching him.

The only solution to both avoid a civil war and actually do something to stop this is a constitutional amendment to allow a vote of no confidence and removal of an entire administration following an emergency election.

    29. If they go soft, they can fuck off. I mean I’m already there tbh. Hell I’m in camp overthrow this shit the other direction now. Fuck em, we’ve been suffering silently for most of our lives. Enough is enough.

This isn’t a country it’s a corporation. Those aren’t politicians those are fascists or at best a tool for the companies running this country.

Edit: These maga people think themselves the sleeping giant, they’re wrong. It’s starting to wake up and it’s pissed.

    30. most-okayest-mngr-77 on

The only way the dems should proceed with impeachment is if they hold both the house and senate. Without both, there’s no point.

    31. Polls shouldn’t dictate their decision to pass a budget, polls shouldn’t dictate whether or not they perform their intended duties.

    32. Lucy_Goosey_11 on

That this pole is even a question speaks to the ineptitude of Democrats and their inability among other things to read the fucking room.

      Trump is wildly unpopular

    33. wrestlingchampo on

Force the Senate to show you what a terrible institution it is.

If after all this is done, we finally realize that a
Abolishing the Senate is the best thing to do, I would be thrilled.

      Everything dies in the Senate.

    34. Ambitious_Handle_189 on

My former MAGA republican mom and dad said they don’t care who it is if you run on the promise on removing, impeaching, and imprisonment of the entire administration and those that enabled them they will vote for that person.

Brought a tear to my eye, they at least changed unlike these other fucks cheering it on.

    35. At this point, Democrats need to do the exact opposite of what their strategists say.

The 2024 election feels like it should have been the ultimate tell of „we are severely out of touch with how to win over the American people,“ but they have continued making exactly the same decisions ever since.

And it’s frustrating because it’s not the platform that’s at fault. It is just the strategy.

My favorite example is the „these guys are weird as hell“ thing as Harris and Walz got started. This got huge fucking momentum. It works, because people really do start to notice how god damn weird this stuff is. Heck, it still works today even in basic conversation. But democratic strategists told them to stop saying it because it was alienating. And what do you know, immediate flatline.

    36. While I want him gone, Vance is no better.

We need to basically acquire the entire maga movement with how Democrats / independents will actually make America great.

    37. The fact that it won’t go through in the Senate is actually why I think it shouldn’t be pursued.

Instead I want targeted, single issue legislation which will address the needs of actual americans. Move bills out of the house that individually solve every problem Donald Trump claims to want to solve.

Push out bills that will enable faster home construction, limit foreign and private Equity ownership of houses, address Healthcare wastefulness at the private level, prohibit stock ownership by congressman, executive officials, and their spouses. Address the root cause of illegal immigration by placing severe financial and criminal penalties on employers who hire illegal immigrants. Ban government contracts being awarded to the spouses, siblings, or children of federal officials. And so on.

Watch the Republicans in the Senate torpedo them or water them down. Or watch the senate pass them and watch Donald Trump veto them.

The Democrats do not have the power to get rid of Donald Trump. But what they do have the power to do is to push out individual bills which will expose the Republicans as the corrupt, feckless, insider party.

Meanwhile, they need to pursue public investigations, very targeted and very media friendly, exposing the corruption of trump appointees. There is a likelihood that they will be able to force out some of the cabinet officials and under secretaries.

The Democratic house needs to be a constant noise maker of, „Here is what we are trying to do but Republicans are stopping it,“ and, „Here is the corruption we have exposed that Donald Trump has enabled.“

Kneecap the Trump Administration every step of the way and it will crumble.

    38. The primary in the NY 12 race will be one to watch as George Conway is making it an imperative to impeach under the stated duties of congress and the constitution.   Essentially saying that political opinions are no longer a part of the process.  It simply is what the situation calls for.

    39. Woody_CTA102 on

While he deserves it, I don’t think impeaching trump now will gain us one vote. It didn’t in 2020 or 2024.

First, we’ll just look like losers again because it probably won’t get on floor. Second, we need to run the midterms with policies that attract voters, not run on trump is a POS. He most certainly is, but we need to attract voters that turned to trump late in 2024 or who sat on the sidelines.

Now if we win House, it’s a different matter.

If you want to do something big right now, donate to Ret General Shawn Harris who is running to take Marjorie Crazy Greene’s seat on March 10th. [https://www.shawnforgeorgia.com/](https://www.shawnforgeorgia.com/)

    40. I am a single issue voter now. Holding Trump and his entire administration, as well as republicans in congress accountable for their corruption, crimes, and lawlessness is the issue, and whoever runs on that platform has my vote.

    41. Ok-Chemical7614 on

Should be their priority- we have healthcare (Thanks to some Republicans who morally stood up for Americans) Epstein files and the Nuremberg style trials for all ICE and all Senior Whitehouse officials who are morally bankrupt against the constitution.

    42. I’m with Ken Jennings … impeach and jail this horrible example of a human being. Jail him!

    43. Impeached? Fuck that, I want him removed from office and public life. He and his administration should be spending their last years in a federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison. And any democrat that doesn’t think that as well shouldn’t be on a ticket.

    44. RandyMuscle on

Stop giving a fuck about what polls say and have a spine. Jesus Christ just stand for something and stand on fucking business.
