That the cross was annoying them so much they couldn’t just ignore it. They removed it from the wall and threw it into the bin? Despicable

Whether you believe in religion or not, publicly throwing a religious symbol that isn’t yours into a garbage can is beyond disrespectful and unnecessary.

Can someone explain, is there a designated cross hanging on the wall of every classroom in Poland? The classroom cross sounded very strange to me.
Cassubians are religious nuts. In several other regions of Poland it would probably go unnoticed.
What’s with increased dogmatic conservatism in Poland? The regression is diabolical.
**Unpopular opinion:** If the teacher truly had an issue with the cross, she could have removed it quietly, outside class hours, and put it in her desk drawer. Doing it in front of students and throwing it in the trash looks less like neutrality and more like an attempt to provoke a reaction, which she’s now getting.
Under Polish law, having a cross in a classroom is legal, and removing it is also legal, since state institutions are supposed to be religiously neutral. Publicly discarding it, especially in front of students, is disrespectful and definitely not neutral.
