can’t pay for healthcare but can hand out money to greenland lol that money won’t even cover healthcare for them

One thing I don’t understand though is that why’s he so hell bent on getting Greenland that he’s trying all tactics in the book from bribe to military.

If this is about ’securing the Arctic from Russia‘ then from what I’ve read in other threads, US already has a military base there, which I’m sure can be armed more if necessary considering Denmark is a NATO ally.

“America First” and “Fiscal Responsibility” means giving money to another country. Republicans are so bereft of any value, principle, or policy at this point.

  5. Here are 10 rights and benefits that Danes have compared to the USA:

    1. **At least 5 weeks of paid vacation per year** – guaranteed for all employees

    2. **Free university education** – financed through the tax system

    3. **Universal healthcare** – available to all citizens

    4. **37.5-hour work week** – statutory working hours with many finishing at 3:30-4:00 PM

    5. **Generous parental leave** – Parents are entitled to a combined total of 52 weeks of paid parental leave. Mothers get 4 weeks before birth and 14 weeks after, fathers get 2 weeks after birth, and an additional 32 weeks can be shared between both parents. This is significantly more extensive than the USA, which has no federal paid parental leave mandate.

    6. **Right to housing** – citizens have the right to „sleep under a roof“

    7. **Comprehensive social protection** – through a redistributive welfare system

    8. **Strong worker protections** – through influential labor unions

    9. **Independent human rights monitoring** – through the Danish Institute for Human Rights, which has overseen the government since 1987

    10. **Corporate human rights responsibility** – Denmark’s largest companies are legally required to consider human rights and report annually.

100K is shit compared to all of this.

The orange felon is really digging into the Cohn mob playbook. First approach is to ask for something with a smile. Second approach are veiled threats. Third approach is to bring in the threat of violence. Fourth approach is the bribe or payoff (the offer they can’t refuse). We know what comes after the mobster has run out of options.

Last I knew Congress controls spending, not the executive.  But I guess that was before Congress collapsed and fell completely into the thrall of the Executive.

But nah, we can’t afford to actually help Americans. God this piece of shit just needs to go already. Tick tock reaper.

  9. So much for looking after Americans, we will start wars instead because that’s what trDump meant when he said no new wars.

But us current Americans can’t afford groceries or get health care

  11. What a shitty deal.
Denmark pays Greenland about a billion dollars a year, every year, to cover healthcare, schools, kinder gardens, public administration, police, etc etc.
Greenland already has home rule and an agreed upon process to move to full indepemdence, if they choose to. Which they never are even close to voting for.

  12. What a fucking joke.

Screw their own country but Teflon Don daydreaming about Greenland?

All the money for that nonsense, not a single penny for struggling Americans. 😐

  13. I bet Trump would rename Greenland to Trumpland if its acquired. I’m not even saying anything crazy lol, everyone knows that would probably be the case.

  14. Traditional_Ad1162 on

Funny thing is, they’re all still screwed. Imagine what their health insurance premiums would be. 100 grand won’t last long.

  15. Jimmyjamz73 on

Yeah, much better to do this than give your own citizens BASIC FUCKING MEDICAL CARE.

  16. That’s probably less than Denmark is paying in subsidies already. Trumps mind cannot fathom a deal which gives someone a bit of money being bad, despite them losing their entire safety net.

  17. Not sure where this money comes from. I guess the whole concept of congress passing bills to appropriate money is gone already. Trump just has a blank check for whatever he decides.
