They’re our voice, we voted them in to represent us, to carry out the will of the people, to lay down systems and programs that pave the way for a brighter future, and they let Trump and his brownshirt, jack-booted thugs step on our throats and watch the life drain from our eyes and all they can fucking muster is warnings about the homeland security budgets.

Yes, I know Trump and his cronies control all facets of the government, but where’s the opposition, where’s the planning, where’d all of that record breaking money they raked in from Kamala’s campaign go? Why aren’t Democrats on TV every single day like Trump with some semblance of some sort of unified gameplan for the future? Why aren’t they organizing and protesting and laying down a progressive campaign for the present while we’re in the deep of it? Where’s the gameplan for what’s to come when the rebuilding is going to have to take place when we’re all picking up the pieces? Anything, something, right now, right this instant. Not „warnings,“ not hollow bluster. Instead, they’re sitting on their hands, dragging their feet, and watching our future being stolen away from us, hoping the midterms will change something, not realizing that their inaction is what cost them the election to Trump in the first place. No one wants to vote for a party that *does nothing* but posture without action and compromise on their values at every turn.

Renee Nicole Good should be on every Democrat’s lips, the face of every campaign. These politicians should be in front of a camera every day, flooding the internet, giving speeches, in the streets, rallying the people. She was a mother of three, and there’s verifiable video fucking evidence of her exercising her God given American *right* and *duty* to protest, with guns pointed at her, her fear, as she’s murdered in broad daylight, in the street, in her own vehicle by ICE. The very same people who wait at schools and in line at naturalization ceremonies. Instead, they sit by and hope the midterms go in their favor. The bravery of this woman in the face of monsters, and Democrats still have no game plan, no leadership, no rallying together, none of that. Just a simple little piddly „warning“ that they better not do it again, or they’ll pull funding.

I don’t even care if every proposition and bill they put forward is voted down by the conservatives every time they do it, at least it would look like they’re at *least* trying to do *something*. Then, when it’s voted down, get back out there, shine a light on the injustice, the hypocrisy, the hate that fuels the conservative machine.

Fuck, I wish they’d at least *question* ***WHY*** ICE needs guns in the first place, or feels the need to use deadly force at all, or feels the need to mask their face like a terror organization. Why does Immigration and Customs need to be carrying weapons?

Frankly, where’s the justice for Marimar Martinez? „I fired 5 rounds, and she had 7 holes. Put that in your book boys.“ These are the types of comments ICE makes about harming US citizens. Those are the people with weapons in the streets threatening our fellow members of the community. Why did we have to even wait till *now* to be outraged. This is a clear Claudette Colvin situation, waiting around for the better symbol to rally around, but there shouldn’t have even been any waiting, there should have been outrage then. This time, a mere few months later, a woman was killed, by big man Jonathan Ross, and the Democrats are *still* dropping the ball and letting Trump and conservatives call her a „domestic terrorist“ for simply being stopped in front of an ICE vehicle, simply for refusing to open her car door to them, and for simply driving away out of fear when those guns are pointed at her. She lost her life for nothing, and the Democrats just sit back and watch. Trump is actively trying to cancel the midterms; cancel elections. What will Democrats do then? Because I think I know. They’re going to just let it all happen, and all they’ll offer is a „warning,“ some condemnation, some bluster, some strong words, and then it’ll be back to business as usual while this all just snowballs into a full blown fascist takeover of our country.

I hope I’m wrong, and I hope that this is the kick in the butt Democrats need to start proposing some semblance, some concept of a plan for our future as Americans.
