If DRAM is even still a thing in the 2040s.
Feels like New York just unlocked the megafab side quest $100B for DRAM sounds more cyberpunk than 2040s reality.
$100 billion is the full build out and of course may not necessarily happen.

14 years to build a factory?
They started the process to have authorisation 5 years ago and the plan is to have all fabs finished in 2041. The timelines for semiconductors fabs are crazy

Micron’s schedule says that, it can partially start production as early as 2029 [1]. Will memory prices have calmed down by then? Or if not, will it lower the prices by increasing memory supplies?
