After sabotaging Carney’s attempt at a partial agreement over tariffs with an ad that Americans have already forgotten, Ford wants to dictate terms about EV tariffs.
Chinese EVs shouldn’t threaten American car manufacturing very much because Trump isn’t interested in electric cars anyway.
I do think there should be some tariff on Chinese EVs but the effective ban we have on them now is just over the top and frankly, ridiculous. The only EV options we have in this country are very expensive and people should have other reasonable options to allow them to switch to EVs.
