      How the fuck can they ban local police from interviewing the witnesses? Can the witnesses just go to the police station and tell them what they saw?

      If the agent is charged federally and doesn’t outright get away with it due to feds putting their thumbs on the scale , then Trump will pardon him.

      I am failing to understand how the feds can shut down a state investigation into a murder of one of its citizens within its own state borders. I can see how the feds and state can run parallel investigations but absent special facts I don’t see how the feds can unilaterally bar a state from investigating a crime over which it has jurisdiction.
