I think people were curious about it, asked questions, and then were met with negativity and ridicule so they stopped.
There was a huge hype. Knowing what would happen I did not give it any thought. So the story ended like there was nothing.
Like most things in space we simply lack the time and capability to really grasp what is going on
What happened is that Avi Loeb sold a bunch more books, and nobody else ever seriously thought it was anything other than an asteroid.
With Epstein/Trump files dilemma, this Venezuela catastrophe, and now the ICE nightmare, people are a little preoccupied.
If it wasn’t a rock, NASA is sure thanking their lucky stars for the timing of all this.
We were Atlas and Venezuela was Earth. We landed and abducted. Case closed
Like one guys pet theory who had a vested interest because he sells alien books, the media has a vested interest in reporting it because it’s an attention grabbing headline and they can just put a disclaimer at the end how 99.9% of scientists disagree and that’s it, not the first or last time it’s the same deal as the annual maybe this asteroid will hit earth stuff

The comet? I think it was a comet, so it probably like left the solar system. Pretty sure that’s what they do.
Another diversion from the real problems on this planet the United States has become a fascist state. Let’s keep looking upward.

TLDR: two 3i/Atlas „leaked“ pictures appeared on an astronomy forum in November from an anonymous poster, after review, they seem legit. I don’t know who the authors are, and I couldn’t understand what happened in 2006 to kick off the whole thing, but it’s certainly an interesting read, especially the attempt at debunking the images, which themselves are… well see for yourself.
Something else I noticed, the astronomical amount of Avi Loeb deepfakes on youtube discussing 3i Atlas, it’s insane!
Anyone who was actually knowledgeable about the event swiftly dismissed the hype, and the usual group of grifters were on to the next one.
When people say bullshit, they rarely just move on to the next thing once it doesn’t come to pass.

I had a fun theory where I’d like to understand more about the POV from 3i Atlas. What could be seen from its travels. Could it see parts of Mars we haven’t, the dark side of the moon? What about how close it got to the sun what could be seen? Maybe it flew over or aligned with Antarctica? I’d just be curious if this was an observation like some had stated what was able to be seen from this flight path? I think there’s even a lot more that it got rather close to.. to me this is the most interesting part. Forget that it’s clearly a Nickel and Stainless steel object the size of mount Everest with two clearly alternating sun facing engines. That fact leaves a wake of exhaust that is only made by the burning of fuels. Burning of fuels that require oxygen…
Regardless of aliens or not there is still alot of interesting things about atlas for science and our understanding of the universe.
Isnt it still out there? lol the hype was simply because at one point it was going to be easiest and clearest to see by some space camera.
3I/ATLAS came and quietly picked up the Epstein files while Erika Kirk was doing the Charlie Kirk memorial thing.
They’re going to plan a fake alien invasion this year
Avi Loeb is still sitting in the same seat, in the same room, with the same outfit, smiling into a camera, telling someone to keep believing.
It’s just clickbait someone making money off it, easily dismissable
