  1. **US/Denmark meeting**

    **US:** Let us take Greenland
    **Denmark:** No
    **US:** Oh come on!
    **Denmark:** No
    **US:** Oh you’re so mean!

  2. „discuss“ there is no discussion, it doesn’t belong to Trump.

It shouldn’t even be discussed, it’s a non starter. Us doesn’t need to seize it to keep it’s strategic military foothold so that excuse is bullshit. They want it to steal water and resources that don’t belong to them

There is no discussion needed. Apparently Trump isn’t the only one who doesn’t understand the word „no“ in this administration.

    * US: Look, we paid 7 million for Alaska.. so how about 7 million?

    Denmark: no thanks.

I’m afraid the Trump administration might offer to buy Greenland (of course, for far less than it’s worth) and then threaten Denmark with the annexation of Greenland if it refuses to sell. But even if Denmark wanted to sell it (which it doesn’t), it couldn’t do so without the consent of the Greenlandic people, and they know they’re far better off as part of Denmark than as part of the US.

All we can hope for now is that the Trump administration isn’t absolutely determined to take Greenland one way or another, and that it would be satisfied with whatever Denmark is willing and legally able to offer. And Denmark would surely offer anything that’s within legal limits.

  6. Hopefully it goes something like this:

    Rubio: We need Gree…

    Danish Officials: Fuck off.

    Rubio: Excuse me?

    Danish official1: Fuck

    Danish official2: Off

    Rubio. : …

    Danish officials: Fuck off.

  7. They’ll sign a deal and Trumps name will be all over it. Such as US is entitled to x amount of resources, full rights to the northern passage, etc. Trump will get what he wants a huge bill and act named after him and Greenland will continue to be apart of Denmark

  8. The conversation should go as follows:

    US: „We want Greenland.“

    Denmark: „Fuck off.“

    End of chat

Rumour has it they’ve hired a preschool teacher to explain with sock puppets that Greenland is part of Europe.

  10. The discussion I imagine will be

Danes: You already have authorisation to station far more troops in Greenland than you currently do, and to establish bases beyond the one you have. What more do you want?

US: We neeeeeed it, why are you being so unfair?😭

Rubio is lying…learned it from his puppet master. It is just theatrics…..Denmark and Greenland both have stated that there will be no change in their position on this matter.

This is usually the point in my total war campaigns where random factions start declaring war on me for being „too hostile“.

  13. EU-US travel would cease if there is a military engagement. This would destroy the world economy

Cool story. The rest of the world will keep discussing the Epstein Files.

  15. In fairness I do believe that they actually called to meet with him. Not to agree to a deal I think it’s going to very well be an argument of what the hell are they thinking

No matter what happens Trump has fucked up.

The US has lost its soft power and will slowly suffer death from 1000 cuts as the world rejects it and forms alternative alliances.

  17. In the unlikely event that Denmark is willing to sell it, residents should first vote on it. And this all still begs the question: WTF do we even want with it? It belongs to a close ally, any strategic or commercial value is available through existing channels of alliance and trade. This is so infuriating.

The discussion will go something like this

    USA: We want Gre….
    Denmark: NO

The way the US is conducting itself I wouldn’t let the plane land and I would ask Americans to deport themselves off our island.

Can’t Europe collectively tell that there is nothing to discuss? Period.

  21. Dances_With_Birds on

For the love of all that is good, please do not give in to these ridiculous demands. Call the bluff. Americans will stand up when it becomes to uncomfortable to not.

  22. Wrong move. There’s nothing to discuss. Going to the negotiating table with the US is a bitch move.

  23. This is gonna be such a tightrope walk. There is no way Denmark can just give the idiot what he wants or he’s just gonna keep going like that, demanding more and more and more. Yet having a war between the US and Europe is gonna be a huge catastrophe so they want to avoid that unless no other options are available.
