    1. this is the predictable outcome when policy punishes success rather than incentivizing it. wealth taxes push capital and talent to friendlier jurisdictions. seen this play out with founders i know – they quietly relocate before the tax kicks in. states competing on tax policy is actually healthy for innovation.

Remind me where he was when he made all his billions? Which state provided the right mix of talent, opportunity, infrastructure, and desirability that he could grow a massive business and an even larger personal fortune?

This seems like a non-story. A lot of tech companies are incorporated in Delaware because of their favorable corporate judicial system.

    5. Rich man wants to keep his money.

Wake me up when that’s no longer the case.

    6. If you have more than 10 million dollars, and all you care is having more money, you are mentally ill. Pay your dues and actually help society

    7. In this placeless era of connected technology, the dirt a company stands on should not make a billion dollar company and more or less subject to taxation. Do you business and make profit from citizens and entities within a government’s control, then you pay the following right to do so without regouging proces to make up for it. Amazing how much us poors can pay but infinite wealth machines are threatened to death
