R.I.P Guido. Horrific what happened to him.

In 2001 James Osbourne, then aged 31, from East Wall in Dublin, was jailed for eight-and-a-half years for the life-changing assault on Mr Nasi. He was released in 2008.

I remember when this happened. Heart breaking. I’m devastated for what was done to him here.

    3. I remember being outraged at the time as a young teen. First time I remember feeling shame of us as a nation, felt absolutely awful for Guido and his family,

An amazing man who even came back to Ireland, and met President Higgins. He stayed up all through the night to type his Victim Impact Statement with one finger – via a computer attached to his wheelchair. An inspiration. He would often cross my mind, as I was very young when the attack happened and I remember being horrified by it. Rest in peace Guido ❤️

    5. I remember a picture of that scumbag waster Osbourne in the paper at the time he was sentenced coming out of court, doing some kind of jokey finger guns gesture to some off-camera w@nker friend.

Wow – this is awful. Poor guy.

Meanwhile his attacker was released in 2008.

    7. Ah that has really upset me tonight. Absolutely horrific, the poor man. Rest in Peace.

Will never forget what happened to this poor lad. I was ashamed of Ireland and how this could happen to a young fella sitting in a park. Reading this and realising only a 7 year sentence was served is disgraceful. Rest in peace Guido.

Sad this is still happening in Dublin, numerous sad and horrible stories like this happened over the last few years.

Dublin is an unsafe city with a broken law enforcement system.

I remember an interview with the parents, it was awful, they were such lovely family, RIP

    11. Poor guy. Remember the story well. Riposa in pace.

Fuck you Osbourne, you piece of shit.

Was there a fight between the two or did he just attack him for no reason?

    13. Apart from mafia related violence, random violence like this is rare in italy, spent a lot time there so i know , i was ashamed too as an Irish person. There’s so many attacks on very young spanish, French, Italian students – its embarrassing

In another post I mentioned that our country is a rogue state and that it’s a fuckin joke. Some lad replied saying that I’m being too much.

But this post just proves my point.

This country is a shit hole when it comes to the justice system and nothing’s going to be done about it.

      RIP Guido 🥺

The sentence his attacker got was a disgrace. But sadly such attacks still happen (like that Mongolian lady that was stabbed to death a few years ago) and our justice system continues to fail the people of Ireland by not handing out sentences commensurate with the crimes.
