    1. Is it too much to ask for our government to just represent the people they were elected by? So sick of political scandals 24/7 and declining quality of life. A liberal majority wasn’t selected by the citizens, quit trying to go against the will of the people.

Liberals care more about power than actually helping Canadians, and this is a prime example. Such a shame seeing how this party has fallen from grace since the early 2000’s. I don’t give them much longer at this point.

    3. So that’s a second mp in as many days denouncing the idea of crossing. I don’t think we’ll see any more crossings. But also, this MP abstained from the budget vote in November.

I am so tired of people pretending like floor crossing is a new concept and not at all a function of our parliamentary system. Partisans of all parties annoy me the most, it’s as if every time there’s a floor crossing that doesn’t benefit them they completely forget our system, and start whining. But the minute it does benefit them, they are singing praises.

And low information voters just assume that our system is exactly the same as the Americans.

    5. So what? She’s not doing something that she doesn’t have to do. This is NOT NEWS.

      Only a matter of time.

Time for some stability in Canada again. And on a positive note it would be the end of Poilievre!

Would be an ironic bookend to the failed Electoral Reform of 2015 if **77** NDP voters in Nunavut end up being responsible for Canada’s parliament not having a majority government.

      **Elections Canada says **41**

77 votes, 0.9 points. Not exactly a riding where it would be a grave injustice if a floor cross happened.

I can appreciate folks who’d want a redo if a crossing happened in a large margin win (say 10+ points), but if it’s 5 or less then 🤷‍♂️.

    9. Feelings about floor crossing generally aside, given current events and growing interest in arctic sovereignty, having the Nunavut MP as a member of the government seems like a good idea – for the constituents, the country, and the career of the MP.
