Should send air support right now to ensure that Russia will be forced to sign a ceasefire.

    2. Russia does not want Ukraine to join NATO, and yet they will accept NATO forces on the ground in Ukraine?
I doubt Russia will accept a ceasefire that includes NATO forces in Ukraine.

The push for boots on the ground means a ceasefire is not possible unless Ukraine manages to turn the tide on the battlefield. There is no way Russia will agree to such things the way things stand now. That means sooner or later, Ukraine will have to get back on the offensive, even if it is costly.

It’s all pointless. The only way Russia well agree to peacekeepers on Ukrainian soil is if it is utterly defeated. If such a defeat is achieved then peacekeepers won’t be necessary and there will be no shortage of countries willing to provide them (i.e. because Russia has been utterly defeated and poses zero threat to any peacekeeping troops for decades to come).

Russia has a war economy and no intention of signing a ceasefire. This is a waste of time.
