The nighttime city lights of Tokyo, capital city of Japan, as seen from the International Space Station. I took this image on Exedition 72, with Nikon Z9 during an orbital pass over the central Honshu island. The bright lights of Shibuya and Shinjuku are hard to miss!

Idk if it’s true but I heard the dark spot in the middle is the imperial palace

Damn that south borough is really good at avoiding light pollution !
      What is it called ?

    4. Can actually see my favorite Tokyo hotel, Hilton Odaiba, from space! Pretty easy to make out down the shore line from the Rainbow Bridge. My second favorite Hilton hotel in Shinjuku is just a white blur lol.

Love that you can see the routes of the main train line. The dotted lines of bright lights fanning out in all directions is where the big developments around stations are.

    6. Is it me or does this look less light-polluted compared to other large cities?
