In this article, the author makes a prediction about what officials in the Canadian government will do in the future.

After the article, there is a link to a 2024 article where the same author makes a prediction about what officials in the Canadian government would be doing in the future:

      >Jen Gerson: *Trudeau is right to show utter contempt for his weak caucus. Why would he quit?*

      >DEC 19, 2024

That prediction was accurate for less than 3 weeks over the holidays.

that’s a lot of words to say „I don’t think Canada can build a pipeline“ with nothing to back that up in the article

not to say a pipeline definitively can or will be built, but the author offers… nothing? in terms of an argument? it seems like the author saw an episode of Yes, Minister and went „sooooooo true“ and then wrote this article

This is unnecessarily pessimistic. If the money is there, we’ll build the pipeline. And then all our problems will be solved.

It’s a logical trap. No amount of pipelines will save or significantly change anything in Canada. Canada is already an incredibly wealthy nation, one of the richest on the planet. All our problems stem from policy.
