i would have driven a truck of money up to Tony Gilroy’s house personally, as Andor is the best piece of star wars content since Empire, and it’s not even close.

Not a fan AT ALL. He’s just a kids cartoon writer in waay over his head

We’re gonna see even more ridiculous, kiddie stuff than we’ve been getting already, aren’t we? More space whales and such?

I quit star wars after andor. Given Filoni’s track record, I don’t see myself coming back.

    5. I am not a Filoni worshipper, but that would be an amazing choice. Kennedy has one of the best resume in Hollywood, but she definitely failed to meet the *insane* targets set by Disney for the sequel trilogy. But she took the job knowing those targets, and was paid a fortune to do so, so it’s her failure.

Oh boy, cameos are about to increase tenfold across all Star Wars media

    7. I don’t have much faith in Filoni anymore. I would’ve cheered 8-10 years ago.

As much as I LOVED some of Clone Wars (I think the Mandalore arc is some of the best Star Wars ever), I don’t think he is fit to produce good live-action Star Wars content. He relies too heavily on fanservice and targets the young audience way too much for my taste.

She should have been fired around the time the rise of Skywalker was released, if not right after the the last jedi… I would have fired her after the last Jedi.

„Whenever Ahsoka isn’t around, everyone should be asking ‚Where’s Ahsoka?'“

Who’s his co-president? Is it gonna be like DC where Safran handles the business side and Gunn handles creative?

    12. Boring choice. Like all of Star Wars fandom is just referencing outisde media to add context to horrible movies and Filoni is that personified. „In Episode II Anakin wasnt actually dumb but pretending to be because of a force control Palpatine had over him as told in the novelization of Episode II…“

I know people were clamoring for this about 10 years ago, but I can not see how this is a good idea going forward. Dave is a huge reason why Star Wars has been stuck in gear for the last 20 years.

He is not an amazing storyteller and relies heavily on nostalgia bait.

Can’t wait for STAR Wars to take place on the same three planets for the rest of time.

Filoni has managed at times to hit incredible highs. He’s also made some confusingly rough choices too.

We’ll see how he manages to run this beast that no one has ever consistently managed.

I’m one of the few who really liked the Ahsoka show (I love Rebels, so, so much), but to use that show in the headline, and not Clone Wars, Rebels, Mandolorian, The Bad Batch…is weird. Filoni has been deeply involved with Star Wars for decades.

Ahsoka is a Jedi mom, not Darth Vader’s Padawan.

So much potential in the character but they just Disney-ed it with little kids telling grown ass adults’ follow me, I think it’s over here.” “Wait for me! It’s dangerous!”

      Glad I cancelled.

    18. A few sequel movies and TV projects too late, but let’s see what they can do.

Maybe everyone will be a Jedi now. /s(?)

I think it would be a very difficult task to do worse than Kathleen Kennedy, and Dave Feloni, whether or not you like his specific vision of Star Wars, actually HAS a vision of Star Wars, something that the franchise has lacked since George. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. We will watch his career with great interest

Fingers crossed this is just a way to keep him distracted and away from actual writing/showrunning duties.

What’s funny is seeing people complain when, after the first season of Mando, all I heard was, „Put Filomi in charge! He UNDERSTANDS this property!!!“

    22. While Filoni must be better than the dumpster fire that has been Kennedy’s era I don’t have a good feeling about it.

    23. “Guess what!…I got a fevah…and the only prescription… is mora Ahsoka Tano!”

What is this, the fourth time KK has been fired in as many years? Got it.

    25. Old-Tomorrow-2798 on

Star Wars doomers going to lose their minds and given this is the only enjoyment I get from this franchise now, all I can do sit back and laugh.

    26. From what I understand Gilroy said that Andor wouldn’t have been possible without Kennedy. While I’ve heard that Filoni and his bloc within lucasfilm don’t really like Andor. That alone makes me question if he’s the right fit. I want to see a diverse Star Wars portfolio not more of the Mandalorian and Ahsoka slop.

    27. Did not see this coming during my days of watching the clone wars on cartoon network ten years ago and seeing his name in those credits
