Why would you waste a himars launch of a handful of soldiers standing on a road

If that was HIMARS, they need a refund. Looks like tube artillery or a particularly heavy drone munition.

Clearly they thought they were well out of range and had EW cover against longer range GPS guided weapons.
Detonation does look small for a HIMARS launched projectile warhead, but that doesn’t preclude ther use. Could have been an M31 unitary, rather than an alternative payload like M30A1.
Also looks too small for a GLSDB, so could be arty?

And then next was struck by precision artillery…
And now it’s HIMARS
I’m guessing GLSDB, not HIMARS. Its got a much smaller warhead and that explosion doesn’t look big enough for HIMARS
