This is a great opportunity for Greenland/Denmark and Canada to strengthen ties in relation to Arctic security, considering that whatever Canada does to protect its arctic borders (especially Nunavut) is directly connected with what Greenland/Denmark does for theirs.

A quick look at the globe will shows that Greenland has much more in common with Canada than with the United States.
