Due to political instability in the South American country over the past 2.5 decades, the Venezuelan diaspora is one of the largest among Latin American countries and is spread out mostly across the Americas, but also other continents as well.
Countries with the largest Venezuelan diasporas are:
1. Colombia (2.8 million)
2. Peru (1.7 million)
3. USA (1.2 million)
4. Chile (729k)
5. Brazil (627k)
6. Spain (519k)
7. Ecuador (500k)
8. Argentina (162k)
9. Italy (150k)
10. Dominican Republic (124k)

I wonder how long it’ll take ICE to round up every single Venezuelan and send them back to the „homeland“, now that everything is instantly a-ok there?

Am I reading that right? Syria?
Can someone explain? It seems an unusual place to pick to emigrate to, at least for the last 15 or so years.

Let’s hope this is the start of a process where these poor folk get to go home. Although there is no guarantee that things will turn out well in Venezuela, and its going to take sometime for whoever to clean up the mess that Chavez and Maduro left…

It was really nice of North Korea to take in some, even if it was under 10,000.

American expansion of democracy, i.e. killing of civilians around the world, was mostly in countries with a fairly large diaspora in America.

Less than 10k in Costa Rica? Sure…
We had 30k back in 2024:

Other sources calculated around 300k

You can literally find them everywhere here.
Well, nobody knows what is gonna happen know, it can be either:
– Second attack
– Civil war
– worsening from humanitarian conditions (more refugees)
Absolute shit show (again) from the USA.
You forgot a huge chunk of Venezuela. That is not part of Guyana.
The US has stopped the migration of at least two Venezuelans to Russia.
I know someone from Venezuela who now lives in Texas, I don’t have too many options to contact her though…
